Who was Whirlaway?

Whirlaway was sired by English Derby winner Blenheim II and out of the mare Dustwhirl. His pedigree was a blend of stamina and speed, qualities that manifested on the racetrack. However, under the guidance of Jones and the addition of a one-eyed blinker to correct his drifting issues, Whirlaway started to show the promise his lineage suggested.
